Getting ready to launch your first training in Ethena? Here are the steps you'll want to take prior to rolling it out!
Adding team members
Just in case you don't have anyone in their seats yet, you can add team members with two different workflows!
-
Via HRIS: If you use one of our partner HRIS tools, go to the Integration Settings page and follow the prompts to set up your integration. This will then allow a one-way data transfer from your HRIS into Ethena meaning that any updates you make in your HRIS will be reflected in Ethena!
- Via CSV: In lieu of an HRIS integration, you can upload a CSV of learners on the Team List page (see instructions here).
Setting up notifications
Once on the notifications tab of the account page, you can choose your notification settings including:
- Channel: Send notifications via email, Slack, or both
- Day of the Week: Choose your preferred day of week for recurring reminder notifications to go out (Ethena tip: We recommend starting out with a notification day of week that's the same as your launch day! That'll help avoid accidentally sending out two notifications in one week)
- Automated Training Notifications Cadence: Set notifications to go out weekly, bi-weekly, or not at all (we recommend weekly).
- Team Insights Notifications Cadence: Set Team Insights notifications for managers to go out weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or not at all (we recommend weekly). Team Insights notifications don't start going out until after the training deadline has passed.
- Upcoming Training Reminders & Training Campaign Activity Report: These are optional emails that go out only to admins to keep you up to speed on your upcoming assignments and completion rates.
A few notes:
- Notifications are always sent out at 10am in learners' local time zones.
- You can send yourself a test notification by navigating to the Team Members page, finding your own name, clicking the three dots on the right side & selecting "Send test notification."
Setting up your training campaign
Once you've added in team members, you can set up your first training assignment. First, head to your Course Catalog to make sure your courses are enrolled. Then head back to the dashboard and set up a training campaign. More instructions can be found here.
Add Ethena to your allowlist
You may need to work with your IT team on this, but we highly recommend doing this just to be 100% sure our notifications will be sent out to your team! Instructions can be found here: Adding Ethena to your allowlist
Announcing to your team
Finally, make sure you announce the upcoming training to your team prior to launch!
We have a handy resource here that covers some best practices for announcing this to your team 2 weeks prior and throughout your training journey.
If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you. Just send a message to support@goethena.com and our team will be happy to assist in making your journey with Ethena as smooth as possible!
