Many companies who recently switched training providers may want to defer training, or add an exclusion, for a group of users who recently completed training. The below guide will allow you to exclude users until they’re ready to be trained.
- Review these instructions on how to set up a training campaign in Ethena.
-
On the ‘Manage Learners’ step, exclude recent trainees from the campaign. You can do this in two ways:
- Manually: On the ‘Included’ tab, search for a team member’s name, open the menu, and choose ‘Always Exclude.’
- By CSV: On the ‘Excluded’ tab, choose ‘Upload CSV’ and ‘Add team members.’ Upload a CSV (can be a single column with header ‘email’) of the folks you’d like to exclude from the assignment.
- Review & Save Campaign.
Once you're ready for the excluded team members to get added into the assignment, come back and remove them from the manual exclusions list:
- Open up the training campaign and select ‘Edit…’
- On the ‘Manage Learners’ step, go to the ‘Excluded’ tab and select ‘Download CSV.’
-
Then, go to the ‘Included’ tab and select ‘Upload CSV’ > ‘Add team members.’ Upload the list of previously excluded users that you just downloaded.
- 💡 Ethena tip: Not ready to add in all of your excluded users just yet? Edit the downloaded ‘Excluded’ CSV before uploading it on the ‘Included’ side.
- Review & Save Campaign.
Learners will receive a new training notification at the next 10am in their local time zone (either same day or next business day). If you’re currently in a deferral period, they won’t be assigned or notified until your next annual training date.
