Some companies choose to train managers based on the Harassment Prevention requirements of their direct reports’ locations, when those direct reports are based in different countries or states.
A standard Ethena Training Campaign sends learners training based on their own location. In order to train managers to the standards of their team members’ locations, we’d recommend first setting up an Ethena Training Campaign, and then setting up additional Custom Training Campaigns for each direct report’s location.
To determine what training is recommended per location, please reference this Harassment Prevention U.S. State Requirements document.
Here’s an example of how we would recommend setting up these training campaigns, based on the above document:
- Ethena Training Campaign: Standard training campaign to ensure that each learner is trained to the standards of their own location/role.
-
Custom Training Campaign - Managers of CA Employees: Custom training campaign for all managers not based in CA who do have direct reports based in CA. Use the One-Time Population option to isolate this user group via CSV.
- Modules to include: California, Understanding Hierarchy, Thoughtful Workplaces
- Training cadence: bi-annual
-
Custom Training Campaign - Managers of IL Employees: Custom training campaign for all managers not based in IL who do have direct reports based in IL. Use the One-Time Population option to isolate this user group via CSV.
- Modules to include: Illinois, Bystander Intervention, Understanding Hierarchy, Supportive Workplaces
- Training cadence: annual
This process allows you to train your managers based on the requirements of the states where direct reports live. Because Ethena’s platform does not automatically deliver additional training based on direct reports’ location in relation to managers’ locations, you’ll want to periodically update this enrollment flow to ensure that this priority for training is being accurately distributed to your team.
