Some Ethena customers want to spread out their team members’ training to occur over an extended period of time. For example, you might want to take Ethena’s 60-minute Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging course and distribute it across three months.
To achieve this, you’ll want to set up multiple Custom Training Campaigns within Ethena.
Step 1: Determine how you’d like to group your content.
The DEIB course is made up of five modules. For this example, you may want to assign 2 modules in month 1, 2 modules in month 2, and 1 module in month 3. The specifics will vary depending on the course you’re hoping to divide up.
💡 Ethena Tip: You may want to reach out to your CSM or support@goethena.com for advice on this step! The process will get extra tricky for Harassment Prevention, because different locations & roles are eligible for different modules.
Step 2: Set up your training campaigns.
For each batch of content (month 1, month 2, etc), you’ll need to set up a separate Custom Training Campaign. Continuing on the DEIB example, here’s how you might set this up:
- Campaign 1: Introduction & DEIB Fundamentals modules; launching Sept 1
- Campaign 2: Intersectionality & Bias modules; launching Oct 1
- Campaign 3: Microaggressions module; launching Nov 1
What about new hires? In most cases, we would recommend enabling auto-enroll, so that new hires take the full training upfront. There are two other alternatives to consider:
- If you want the whole org to train in batches together, and not automatically deliver training to new hires, you can change your deferral setting to “Always Defer.”
- If you want new hires to be trained in batches as they come on board, choose a “One-Time Population” for your campaign. At the start of each month, add new hires into the campaign relevant to their start date (e.g. add Sept new hires to the month 1 campaign in Sept, then add them to the Month 2 campaign in Oct, etc).
- 💡 Ethena Tip: If you use Workday HRIS, reach out to your CSM for additional instructions on ways to automate this further.
