You have the ability to assign new learners training or defer in Ethena's training campaigns.
Set Campaign Live for New Hires Setting
When setting a campaign-wide start date, you can now enable immediate enrollment for new hires by toggling the Set Campaign Live for New Hires on. This ensures that new team members receive training as soon as they join, while existing learners remain scheduled for the official campaign date.
Similar to our training deferral feature for active campaigns, this update ensures new hires stay current on "upcoming" material without redundant assignments.
What is the New learners setting?
The new learners setting offers you a chance to determine when new employees receive training when being added to Ethena. You can see more options by clicking Advance settings:
When should new learners receive training?
Here you will have two options to choose from.
Option A: Train Immediately
This setting enables immediate training for new learners as soon as they are added to a campaign. To prevent overtraining, you can set a cutoff period (in months). If a learner joins within this timeframe, they will skip the next scheduled annual training. Alternatively, you can choose to have them complete their immediate assignment and still participate in the next annual training date without skipping.
Option B: Defer Training
The deferral period allows you to hold off training for new hires added close to your annual training date.
You can set a deferral period for releasing training to new hires by selecting the timeframe below:
