What are Learner statuses? You may have seen these next to team members in your admin page under the "Status" column and may be asking "Ethena, what on earth is this?!". We've got you covered here!
A collection of Learner Statuses
Completed:
Learners are considered compliant in Ethena when they have completed enough
training minutes and covered all required topics within the last year or their
jurisdiction’s time window. For learners in jurisdictions without regulations, Ethena
defaults to a minimum time requirement of 50 mins and a minimum set of required
topics from our team of experts.
Incomplete:
Jurisdictions with training regulations specify a time window where new team
members can train before going beyond the deadline. Ethena also provides a default
time window for jurisdictions without regulations.
Within Deadline:
Learners with this status have outstanding training they can complete at any time to
regain compliance. Having this status implies there are no special considerations that
Ethena is aware of that would excuse a learner not being compliant, such as a recent
move or promotion, or having just been onboarded to the Ethena platform.
New state:
Jurisdictions with training regulations specify a time window in which learners who
change states can catch up on additional training. Ethena also provides a default
time window for jurisdictions without regulations.
New manager:
Jurisdictions with training regulations specify a time window in which new managers
can catch up on additional training. Ethena also provides a default time window for
jurisdictions without regulations.
What is the difference between Terminated and Active?
Inactive:
Companies with HRIS integrations will see learners move into this status when they
are terminated in their HRIS or are filtered out of Workday reports that power
Ethena’s integrations. It is similar to a termination, but as a precaution, Ethena does
not automatically mark terminations through our integrations.
Terminated:
Learners with this status have been marked by an Ethena admin as terminated through Ethena’s admin hub. These people will not receive training nor will they count towards you total active user count. They are kept on your account so that you can refer to their training in future if you need access to this once they have left your organisation.
You may also see next to this column an action required status and we go into a little more detail in this article: Action required statuses - (if you like reading more).
These are general definitions for each stage a learner will go through. Should you have any further questions let us know at support@goethena.com.
