A video walkthrough of setting up live training with Ethena's Classroom Mode. Text version below!
- First, you need create a course assignment that includes the learners who will be included in the classroom mode link.
- Inside the assignment, you can generate a classroom link by clicking the link on the top right on the assignment (shown below).
You will also need to take the following steps:
- Choose a title for the training and if you have a facilitator conducting the training you can add their name in here too.
- You will also need to specify which learners they’d like to include in the attendance list for that session. You are able to add every learner in the assignment, or a subset of learners.
You can filter using the drop down menus to help with your selection. This means it's super quick to send to a specific group of folks. - Confirm if you would like a timer enabled for the training session
- Choose a title for the training and if you have a facilitator conducting the training you can add their name in here too.
- The Classroom link will be valid for 90 days for security reasons. If you do need longer, you can always re-enable the link to reset the expiration window.
- You can then paste that URL into the browser of the device you're using to run the session, or send it to a facilitator.
Please note that If it’s a course with multiple tracks such as Harassment Prevention (with state specific requirements), you will need to select one track that you want everyone to train on. For courses with a single track, all of the core content of the course will be included.
Learner - taking training
- Learners don’t need to do anything to set-up! They’ll go into a group session and sit there while a facilitator takes them through the training.
Admin - taking attendance for a classroom training
- The facilitator will have an option to take attendance before beginning training. This is an optional step!
- They will be required to take attendance after completing the whole training - learner records will not be pushed until they confirm who was there. Attendance can be taken at any point in time and can be modified retroactively as long as the assignment is still active.
