Your HRIS integration with Ethena operates as a "one-way push", meaning that information that is updated in your HRIS is pushed to Ethena, but information updated in Ethena will not push to your HRIS.
There may be situations where you would like a team member's information in Ethena to differ from what is listed in your HRIS. For example, you may want a team member who is in your HRIS not to train or to show a different name or role in Ethena.
Editing a team member's information
To edit any team member information such as email address, name, or location, you will need to remove the connection between Ethena and your HRIS for this user.
Doing so will allow you to update the information associated with their record in Ethena.
To remove the Ethena<>HRIS connection for a team member and manage them manually:
- Head to the Team Members page of the Ethena Admin Hub
- Find the record for the team member, and click the three dots menu on the right > Edit
- Click "Manage this user manually", make any needed changes to their record, and click Save + Close.
*Note: Once a team member is managed manually, any changes made to their record in your HRIS will no longer automatically be reflected in Ethena.
Preventing a team member from receiving training
If you would like a team member who is listed in your HRIS not to receive Ethena training, take the following steps:
- Head to the Team Members page of the Ethena Admin Hub
- Find the record for the team member, and click the three dots menu on the right > Edit
- Click "Manage this user manually" > Save + Close
- Click the three dots menu again, and select Terminate.
*Note: It is important that you select "Terminate", rather than "Delete". If you delete a team member, the next time your HRIS syncs with Ethena, the user will reappear in the Ethena system as an active learner.
