If you’re on the Standard Ethena subscription with a self-serve plan, you may incur overage charges if you exceed your allotted number of seats.
What is an overage?
Our system handles overages by checking your active user count in Ethena each day. We then take the highest active user count in a given month and charge $2/user/month (for Harassment Prevention subscriptions) or $5/user/month (for Full Course Catalog subscriptions) for each user that goes over your total subscription. So for example, if your annual subscription includes 30 licenses but you had 35 active users in a given month, you would expect to be charged $25 that month for your overages for Full Course Catalog.
How to check for overages
You can check for overages by going to Settings > Billing:
You can also view it by clicking Manage Billing:
Then the Invoices with the overage charges will be visible under Invoice History:
Adding licenses to your annual subscription, which you can do at any time by reaching out to support@goethena.com, ends up being a bit of a cost savings over the monthly overage charges.
