If you have some questions about our Assignment activity reports, we should have you covered here. From "what are they?" to "how can I configure these?" this article gives an overview of this feature in Ethena to help your reporting on the go and enjoy a more accessible experience to your reporting strategy.
What are Assignment Activity Reports?
Assignment Activity Reports are a Premium feature and is a configurable reporting that provides admins with the ability to view assignment completion progress, engagement metrics, and learner positivity ratings on a cadence that works for them. Some super helpful information to have on hand!
It'll allow you to get an insight into their learners training performance without needing to log into the Ethena hub. Each report includes the following information:
- Course Name
- Assignment Name
- Released Date
- Number of learners the assignment was released to
- Number of learners who completed and that percentage of completion
- Number of learners within deadline and that percentage
- Number of learners still incomplete and that percentage
- Positivity rating
The standard set up of this feature will include only reports on Core Learning assignments.
Reports are emailed at 3pm in the timezone of the admin, and if no timezone is specified it'll be sent out at 3pm Eastern Standard Time.
Reports are also emailed even if there is another notification scheduled for that day so they are independent of this aspect.
What do the reports look like? Just like this:
How do customers get this feature turned on?
If you're a Premium customer, this report will be turned on by default, providing updates on assigned core learning training only. The default cadence is bi-weekly. A Core Learning assignment will only be included in a Training Review report once it’s been sent to at least one learner.
The default setting will not include Continuous Learning, One-Off Assignments, or Upcoming Assignments but you can choose to add these into your reports in the configuration settings.
How do admins configure their Assignment Activity Reports?
You can access this feature in the Notifications section of their dashboard under the “Admin Global Notification” settings and clicking into “Assignment Activity Report.” From here, you can then adjust the email cadence to have assignment reports sent out of the following options:
- Daily
- Sent weekdays only
- Weekly
- Sent each Friday
- Bi-Weekly
- Sent every other Friday
- Monthly
- Sent the first of each month, including weekends
Additionally, there is the option to choose “Disable” to stop this report being sent out if you prefer!
After you've made a selection on the cadence, you can then configure the report further, by opting into including reports on Continuous Learning, One-Off Assignments, and Upcoming Trainings.
Core Learning Assignment Report Configurability
A Core Learning assignment is only included in the report once it has been sent out to one or more learners. Otherwise, it’ll only appear in the “Scheduled” section of the Training Review if you have opted into Upcoming Assignments Reminders.
Continuous Learning & One-Off Assignment Report Configurability
One Time Assignments are included in the report email if you have opted into them. Assignments in these sections are only included if they have been sent to one or more learners in the last 3, 6, or 9 months (and in the case of Continuous Learning, if the company has opted in).
All reports for Core Learning, Continuous Learning & One-Time assignments will also feature the following:
- Course Name
- Assignment Name
- Released Date
- Number of learners the assignment was released to
- Number of learners who completed and that percentage of completion
- Number of learners within deadline and that percentage
- Number of learners still incomplete and that percentage
- Positivity rating
Upcoming Assignments Report Configurability
Upcoming Assignments are included in the report email if you have opted into them. This section of the report will highlight all scheduled assignments in the next 3, 6, or 9 months (core learning, one-time, and continuous learning). It will then include:
- Course Name
- Assignment Name
- Scheduled Release Date
- Number of enrolled learners
All included assignments are ordered chronologically with the next scheduled release listed first. You'll be reminded that you can change the dates for upcoming assignments within the admin hub on the dashboard.
